If you wish to make a payment for a commissioned painting then please fill out the details below:
There are many exciting reasons to have a painting commissioned.
Some Examples : A unique Gift for a Wedding or Wedding Anniversary; a Portrait of a Special Person or Family Pet; a Dwelling or Location with special memories. You might like to commission a number of Paintings with a particular Theme e.g. to enhance the ambiance of your Office or Restaurant or a special Room in your Home.
Have a look at some of my earlier Commissions in the Archive Page of this Website; they may help you to decide on your own Subject and Format.
The Simple Steps involved in commissioning your own Unique Work of Art are as follows:
Let me know if you are interested in either one or more commissioned Paintings. Give me a general description of what you require and when you want it including budget limitations. I will respond with an outline of what I can do to meet your needs. If we are in Agreement, we can proceed to Step 2.
Having agreed the Subject ( s ) or Theme, the next Step is to agree :-
( a ) Overall Dimensions of the Finished Works ( Height x Width ) in inches or centimetres, including Framing ( Oils, Acrylic ) or Mounting ( Acrylic, Pastel, Watercolour ), if required.
Frames, canvas panels and canvas boards are readily available in ready-made standard sizes.
We can show the optional sizes to you. Choosing a standard size can save you time and money.
( b ) Medium. Acrylic Paint has become the medium which is most favoured by professional Artists in recent years. It has a number of advantages over the more traditional Oil paint, not least being the range, variety, brightness and permanence of the colours. While I use Acrylic paint for most of my current works, I can do commissions using other mediums if you should have a preference e.g.Oil paint, Pastel, Watercolour, Charcoal, Sepia.
( c ) Supplementary Information. During this stage, please give me references to other works which appeal to you, or photographs, or any supplementary material which may help me to understand your wishes .
The time required from receipt of Order to Delivery of the finished Painting to you is dependent on a number of factors, such as Subject, Size, Medium, Time of Year, Your Location. Works in Oil paint take a longer time to complete than those in Acrylic because of the necessity to allow the paint to dry properly before application of a finishing coat of protective varnish.. For the majority of works in standard size panels and frames, allow 4 – 6 weeks.
Having agreed the Specification details, I will quote you a Price for the Commission. If it should be acceptable to you and you are prepared to place an Order with me, I will send you a Confirmation of Order note to you by E-mail. Payment Terms would comprise a Deposit of 50% of the agreed price , to be received prior to commencement. On completion of the work, I will send you a photo of the Painting for your approval. It will be dispatched to you on receipt of the outstanding balance.
You can use our Payment page on the Website. It is based on ‘ PayPal ‘ which is easy to use and offers Payment Security and which accepts various cards in the event that you do not have a ‘ PayPal ‘ account.
Regretfully, I am unable to accept Returns on commissioned paintings. My commitment to Clients is to do each Commission to the absolute best of my ability . My reputation for Excellence and Satisfaction depends on this Policy.
